Exciting news! We have had our baby!
My waters broke 230am on Christmas day (37 weeks)
As bub was still breech we called hospital and headed pretty much straight in.
All of the Hypnobirthing classes were so clear in my head!
I drove myself to hospital, stared surging just before we arrived.
The obstetrician was called in, he arrived at 4.30am and I was surging pretty intensly. He did his check and I was already 6.5cm dilated.
Anyway they wheeled me down for the cesarean, which all went really smoothly.
It was all so perfect. I was so happy and calm through the whole thing- all of the techniques we learnt were clear in my head. James read lots of affirmations and did part of the rainbow relaxation for me as we went into surgery.
Ella Jane arrived very alert and looking all around.
She fed straight away and has kept feeding perfectly ever since, she has hardly cried at all.
