We are both pleased to announce the arrival of our little fairy in the bump, Isla Rose Karey. Isla decided she would prefer to enter the world standing on her own two feet (breech) weighing in at 7 pounds 7 ounces or 3.5 kg and 50cm/19.5 inches.
Our gorgeous breechling was gently lifted from my womb by the wonderful Dr Ash Hanafy at 8:36am on Friday 28 September and calmly looked at everyone in the room, no crying. Hypnobirthing techniques helped me through coming to terms with having a caesar instead of a natural waterbirth, the spinal block and operating theatre procedures and I am sure it is why Isla was so calm.
The breathing and relaxation techniques have been absolutely fantastic for breastfeeding, and i am continuing to use the rainbow relaxation for ‘mummy time’ to assist in healing from the ceasar.
Thank you so much for everything you did for us, your knowledge and kindness have been invaluable to us and the birth of our beautiful baby girl.
It was lovely to meet you and i look forward to telling Isla all about you one day.
Thanks again
Shannon and Jason, Western Australia.
