Bio
I have been a midwife since qualifying in 2001. Prior to this I was a nurse working in women’s health. My training commenced when I was a mother of three young children. I am now also a grandmother of one little boy. I trained in England and came to Australia in 2005 and have worked in both the private and most recently public sectors.
The university I trained at believed that midwifery is an art form rather than a true science and I aim to be mindful of this in my practice. No two labours or births are the same. It is the best and most privileged job in the world to help a new family meet their baby.
As a midwife and a hypnobirthing practitioner I will give you the information and tools to have a positive experience during your labour and birth.
I inject a sense of humour into all my teaching. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than meeting new people and sharing some wisdom.
