Bio
For the greater part of my life, I’d consider myself a birth nerd. Until age 15 I was raised on a farm in rural QLD and have since found myself becoming consistently drawn to exploring the incredible journey that mothers (and fathers) take and transform through birth and parenthood. Through working as a family and newborn photographer for 12 years, I have met and heard the stories of hundreds of families. They have inspired me but often made me curious as well. I believe the birth culture in our country is quite detached from what women and family’s truly need and deserve.
Before becoming a mother myself in 2018, my husband and I researched, took the Hypnobirthing Australia classes, and learned a lot to equip ourselves best we could – and oh! what I’ve learned in the time since! Breastfeeding for 4 years straight gives you a lot of time to watch birth videos and research 😉 I arrive in this practitioner role with such joy and fire in my soul, to encourage birthing women and their support circles to have the best birth experience they can – regardless of the path it takes.
