Bio
I’m Chloe Hanlon, an Endorsed Midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Positive Birth Program Practitioner based in Mackay, Queensland. I’m also the founder of Nest & Nourish, where I provide personalised midwifery, lactation and education services to women and families.
Throughout my midwifery career, I’ve had the privilege of working with women across diverse cultural settings, including countries where access to pharmacological pain relief during birth was limited. Witnessing the strength, focus and mental resilience of these women sparked my interest in the powerful connection between the mind and body during birth.
I’m also a mum with a young family, which gives me the unique perspective of understanding contemporary pregnancy, birth and postnatal care from both sides—as a healthcare professional and as a woman navigating the maternity system myself.
I’m passionate about helping women and their birth partners replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge, practical tools and confidence. My approach is warm, realistic and non-judgemental. I believe a positive birth isn’t defined by how or where you birth, but by feeling informed, respected, supported and actively involved in your experience.
