Bio
I am a Mother of three children and have been a Registered Nurse since 2013 and a Registered Midwife since 2016. I am currently working in one of Melbourne’s major tertiary hospitals providing Midwifery care in all areas of pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period of a woman’s journey into motherhood. I have had three very different pregnancy and birth experiences myself and have learned a lot throughout my own path into Motherhood, while also being a part of countless other women’s journeys.
I am passionate about educating and empowering women to make informed choices that suit them best, to create their own positive birth experience. I believe childbirth is not something to be feared, but rather a natural and instinctive process that should be embraced and enjoyed. Given the tools to control their mindset, all women can achieve this. Childbirth can sometimes take unexpected twists and turns, but with a strong mindset, there is no mountain too high. I want to help women begin their journey feeling confident and empowered to take on anything that comes their way and enjoy the unforgettable experience of bringing new life into the world.

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Abiah in preparation for our birth. We chose private sessions as we often work on the weekend, and we couldn‘t have been happier with our choice.
We left feeling so well informed and excited about birth, a stark contrast to before where there was a mix of fear and apprehension. Relying on her extensive knowledge as a midwife as well as her lived experience, we always felt like we could ask Abiah additional questions and she often tailored content to us based on that. Can 100% recommend booking sessions with Abiah – it will make you feel empowered, supported and ready for birth!
Thanks for being part of our journey, Abiah!
We loved our session with Abiah! We left feeling informed and understood! Her breadth in experience and calm, confident nature helped ease some of my first time mum anxieties and I really appreciated her unwavering advocacy to assist with our pursuit of our birth preferences! Thank you Abiah!
