Can you use your hypnobirthing skills during an ECV (External Cephalic Version) to help turn a breech baby? Absolutely!
Watch this video of one of our Hypnobirthing Australia™ star mamas, taught by Mae’t Pearson, who stayed SO calm during the procedure. She was listening to our Breech Turn track (using earphones) as the ECV was gently performed by her very supportive doctor. She also had her partner’s and private midwife’s (Mae’t Pearson) loving support onhand. This helped her to remain relaxed and that made the procedure so much easier.
See how caring and gentle the doctor is? He has a wonderful manner about him.
Make sure that you watch the short video to the end to see what the result was. ?
Our top tips for success when having an ECV:
- Listen to our Breech Turn track (out loud or with earphones) during the procedure
- Have loving support around you, to help you stay calm throughout (medical carers and birth partner)
- Utilise your hypnobirthing breathing and visualisation techniques that you learn in Hypnobirthing Australia™ classes or via our hypnobubs® hypnobirthing online course
