Thank Goodness – A ‘REAL’ View of a Mother’s Post-Birth Body!

It is so refreshing to see a realistic depiction of a post-birth body. I’m so sick of seeing these supermodel photos showing women with taut skin and toned abs within weeks of having given birth!

This beautiful and very healthy mama, Julie Bhosale from Auckland, NZ – shows us photos of her post-birth body in the hours, days and weeks after birth. And guess what? Her tummy isn’t perfectly flat and toned – shock, horror!

As I often say in my Hypnobirthing Australia classes, “It takes 9-10 months for our baby to grow, so it should come as no surprise that it takes time for our body to recover.”

Please don’t despair mums. I actually put all of my size 10 undies into the rag-bag after my first birth, despondent that I would never fit into them ever again. A year later, I was fishing them out again (lucky I hadn’t used them as rags to clean windows in that time haha)!
