Thank you to Hypnobirthing Australia parents Jess and Michael, for creating this video that documents the labour and birth of their baby, Louis. This is a great example of a positive birth using hypnobirthing with an induction.
Despite needing to be induced due to special circumstances; Jess was able to birth little Louis vaginally with no pain-relief, using the knowledge and tools she obtained through attending Hypnobirthing Australia classes with Sue Hunt in Gosford, support from her husband and caregivers and the preparation she did leading up to and during her labour.
Jess’s membranes released at 34 weeks and they were 1600km away from where they had planned to birth.
The Hypnobirthing Australia program gave this couple the framework and ability to negotiate these difficult times and achive the type of birth they desired for their baby.
It is wonderful to see how the staff assisted with supporting their birth preferences of upright positioning for birth, immediate skin to skin and delayed cord clamping for their 34 week baby.
It turns out that Jess herself was inspired by other hypnobirthing stories that she read on this webpage (even whilst she was in labour!) – and now she and her husband share their very special story in the hope that it helps other parents to achieve a positive birth experience.
It is through sharing our stories that we are able to help and inspire each other. We are so very grateful to all parents who very kindly share their birth stories and videos with us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. x
Enjoy this beautiful birth video!
