Bio
Tanya is a midwife and a Mumma who has experienced two positive and empowering hypnobirths – a waterbirth and a land birth, both in the comfort of her own home. She has spent 13 years working in a busy tertiary hospital in Melbourne across the continuum of care and knows the ins-and-outs of the hospital system. Most recently Tanya has worked in a Maternity Group Practice and with a deep seeded philosophy for normal physiological birth has supported countless women and families on their birth journey. Tanya is a strong advocate for confident and safe birth and supports all women’s choices during labour and birth with the goal of a positive pregnancy, labour and transition to parenthood no matter the birth outcome.
Tanya has been to Tanzania as a midwife working with and teaching skills to local midwives in a rural community, worked as a sessional teacher at Deakin University and completed her Master’s Degree in Midwifery where she implemented a waterbirth policy so women could choose to birth in water at her work place.
Tanya would love nothing more than to connect with you to share her birthing wisdom and Hypnobirthing Australia method so you too can have the positive and empowered birth you deserve.
