Bio
Nicole Carver is a registered midwife, maternal and child health nurse and experienced childbirth and parenting educator. A mother of three and a grandmother of four beautiful children as well, Nicole has experienced birth and parenting in the public and private health care systems, and is a strong advocate for giving parents the tools and confidence to embrace pregnancy, birth and parenting, involving them in all decisions and ensuring that they understand the choices that they have and how to ask for them. Nicole’s special interest in infant and perinatal mental health and the importance of early experiences to attachment, bonding and overall outcomes motivates her passion for working with parents. She loves to guide them in what they can do to increase the chance of a natural birth with confidence (and keep intervention to a minimum if it is required), so that there is the best opportunity for newborns, their mothers and significant others to get off to a great start in their life as a new family.
