Practice Name: Mother Down Under
Location of Service: Brisbane, Newmarket, QLD
Hello and welcome!
I am Caitlin, a childbirth educator, a registered nurse and a mother.
My passion is helping mothers.
Whether they are trying to conceive, pregnant, coping with a newborn or wrangling a toddler, I love hearing their stories, providing advice when I can or at least a shoulder to lean on. Since giving birth, I have provided casual encouragement to other women through my mommy blog http://www.motherdownunder.com.
I am thrilled to be a hypnobirthing practitioner and to be able to positively support women throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond.
As a nurse, I have come to hypnobirthing from a scientific background, and I believe that empirically, the method makes so much sense. Our bodies are complex, are able to perform extraordinary feats and, just as they are capable of growing a perfect baby without our conscious input, they are also capable of birthing that perfect baby without much conscious effort.
After experiencing a beautiful hypnobirth, I felt so empowered and positive.
I strongly believe that, if your pregnancy and birth are the positive events that you hope they will be, you will enter motherhood feeling confident and better able to cope.
I found that hypnobirthing enabled me to have a relaxed pregnancy, a natural birth and demonstrated that trusting my mothering instincts led to ideal outcomes for me and my baby.
It is truly my wish that every woman has the opportunity to experience the pregnancy and birth that she desires.

Practice Name: Birth Savvy
Location of Service: Maylands, Perth (WA)
Pip Wynn Owen has been a Registered Midwife since 1995, a Childbirth Educator since 2004 and is also a Mother of 4. She passionately believes that the birth of a child should be the most beautiful and empowering time in a couples life. And that women should feel like Wonder Woman after giving birth.
Like most hospital midwives Pip was “thrown in” to teaching antenatal classes, but it quickly became her passion and she decided she needed to do formal childbirth educator training. This dramatically changed her style of teaching and approach to prenatal education. However after the birth of her 4th child, her first with an obstetrician in the private hospital system, she realised there was a real need to step outside the system and give women a truly independent childbirth education service.
She started ‘Birth Savvy…Ask for what you want’ in early 2012 and now runs seminars, workshops, and private sessions in Perth WA
Pip realises how hard it can be to find your confidence and voice in today’s birthing environment and that sometimes information isn’t enough. She knows that what couples need, on top of good quality education, is specific techniques, tools and strategies to enable them to ask for and get the birth they truly want.
This is why Pip is delighted to be a Certified Hypnobirthing Australia™ Practitioner. She feels now she has found the programme that give couples the best chance at that beautiful, empowered birth she wishes for all couples.
Through Pip’s passion she is fast becoming the voice for pushing for better births in Perth’s private hospitals with journalists seeking her opinions for television news, radio, newspapers and magazines.

I am a practising Caseload Midwife at Gosford Hospital. I have attended many hypnobirths through the years and know the difference it can make to a mother’s experience of labour and birth as well as the outcome!
Natural drug-free birth leads on to a happy baby and mum and easier breastfeeding.
I have a particular interest in VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Caesarean) as I experienced this myself. I’m also very supportive of waterbirth and fully support home birthing.
Negotiating the hospital system can be daunting. As a midwife who works in the system, my goal is to incorporate the best medical support available with natural birth practices.
Hypnobirthing Australia classes give me the opportunity to help empower women and their partners and share my expertise.
I am excited to teach Hypnobirthing Australia and assist women and their partners on their birthing journey. I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you!
Practice Name: Yoga Mummas
Location of Service: Port Macquarie (NSW)
The combined skills of Yoga and Hypnobirthing techniques has allowed me to serve 100’s mums in my local area over the last 8 years. It’s so lovely to catch up with parents after their birth and hear how the pregnancy classes and Hypnobirthing techniques helped to positively influence their birth.
Birth is so raw and primal; in this day and age, many of us have lost touch with this side of ourselves. Pregnancy yoga can help women to connect to their body in a safe way. Through specific movements and learnt breathing techniques women naturally deepen their understanding of what they need to do to birth their baby. A woman’s awareness is naturally turned inwards during pregnancy, making it so much easier for her to relax into herself. I have observed this many times over the years and it never ceases to amaze me.
The “hypno” part of hypnobirthing gives mothers a much-needed tool to help them get beyond the chatter of their mind, and allow their body to do what it is designed to do.
The theoretical knowledge learnt throughout the course gives parents a greater appreciation for the physiological processes of birth.
It’s so important to recognise that what we do and the choices we make during pregnancy have a huge impact on our birth.

Practice Name: Mind Body Birthing
Servicing: Ballarat and district
My name is Katrina Foord and I am a qualified Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner. My interest in hypnobirthing has developed over my many years as a registered nurse, midwife, hypnotherapist, NLP (neuro linguistic programming practitioner) and a mother of two. Considering my background and experience it has become a natural progression to become a hypnobirthing practitioner.
I had two very different birthing experiences prior to becoming a hypnobirthing practitioner – an emergency Caesarean (after being induced) and a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean). One of the differences I remember is that with my vaginal birth, I had a covering obstetrician who asked me to visualise myself on a tropical island to help me relax. I remember this helping enormously.
I have always been interested in the power of the mind and subsequently completed courses in hypnotherapy and NLP. I have since used hypnotherapy for many things including walking on hot coals and completion of my first 1/2 marathon last year with ease.
My aim is to teach women and their birth partners, techniques such as breathing, visualisation, relaxation and self-hypnoisis to empower them to have a calm, positive birthing experience.

Hi there! I am a mother of two hypnobirthed boys (one in a car!) and I have been a certified Hypnobirthing Australia™ practitioner since 2014. I am also a pregnancy retreat facilitator and womb awakening practitioner.
Through my personal and professional experiences, I have discovered that pregnancy, birth, and becoming a mother is a sacred, meaningful, and transformational time and women are to be heard, honoured, and respected.
I am devoted to helping women cultivate trust within themselves, to be at the centre of their unique journey and to experience birth as a rite of passage into motherhood.
I believe the foundation to this is the right support team, an education about birth as a physiological process, proven coping tools, awareness around birth choices, and feeling prepared for whatever path the birth journey may take.
My classes involve the birth partner every step of the way and I provide them with practical knowledge and tools to confidently support the birthing mother.
I currently specialise in private hypnobirthing classes in person locally or via Zoom worldwide! This is so the mother and her birth partner can enjoy a personalised experience in the comfort of their own space.
I believe that through holistic birth education we will change the face of birth on this earth and I am so grateful to be part of this together with the Hypnobirthing Australia™ Positive Birth program.

Practice Name: Empowered to Birth
Location of Service: Bendigo (NSW)
Hello, I’m Debra, Midwife, Mother of four and passionate about every birth being a positive experience for every family.
My children were all born before I was a Midwife or a Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner. Their births span 3 decades and 2 centuries. I know, this makes me sound old, but it has given me wisdom on many levels.
Conventional Hospital Birthing Classes classes can be quite confronting. I know, because I teach these classes, both locally and previously at a large private hospital in Melbourne. The facts need to be taught in these settings, but often they are large, rushed and impersonal. Family and friends often feel it their role to inform a pregnant woman “How it was for me”. These uncensored stories and other life events can instil fear for many women.
I want to empower couples to be knowledgeable, flexible, assertive and prepared, no matter the mode of birth.
I want to help pregnant women and their birth support person overcome fear and anxiety they may have. Instead filling their birth preparation with positive images of birth and practical tools to cope with the journey through pregnancy, labour and birth into their parenting.
By attending one of my Hypnobirth Australia courses I can share all this with you.
Phone 0428 560 658 for more information or booking.
Classes are either:
Weekends: 2 x 6 hours 9am to 4pm
Evenings: 4 x 3 hours 6pm to 9pm

Location of Services: Geelong, Surf Coast (VIC)
Hello, my name is Agnele (Anielle). I have a degree in Nursing, post graduate in Midwifery and continuous studies and interest in areas of mind-body connection using the law of physics, brain/ heart coherence, trauma resilience, acupuncture and hypnotherapy.
As an educator, my interest lies in demystifying the mystical in order to equip people with knowledge and tools within their reach to make real changes in their desires for a positive birthing experience.
The role of mindset in pregnancy, labour and birth is the foundation of your preparation in this space. Many don’t realise that in wanting a positive experience, the fundamental element lies in your core belief system. Interestingly there is a process of discovering yourself and realising how your thoughts and feelings play a part in your labour and birth experience. Fit Mind Now will help you align your belief system with your desire. The process requires training your mind to be aligned to your intentions and desired experience for labour and birth. Remember you can achieve anything you want when you know how to access your potential.
The wonderful news is that you are here right now doing your research. You know deep within yourself that you want more than what you have been told. You know deep within yourself that you can have a positive birthing experience and you’re looking for the right approach.
I encourage you to connect with me and learn more about the options available to you. For reviews, videos and photos please search for Ready Mum as my previous business name. You can find videos and photos on facebook and reviews on google.

Location of Service: Bendigo (VIC)
I became a midwife to help support women during birth. I have spent a majority of my time as a midwife working in the private sector and I have cared for many women who have walked into the birthing suite with no real thought on how labour will be. They are simply willing to hand their care over to their caregivers and allow many of the decisions to be made for them.
Nurture Birthing was born out of a need for something different in the birthing services field, especially in the private sector. I aim to educate women and their partners to empower them during their pregnancy and birthing journey. Following the philosophy of hypnobirthing I wish to provide women with the tools to overcome the fear and anxiety of birth for a positive birthing experience.

Hi, my name is Lisa, a passionate midwife of 4 years and paediatric nurse of 14 years.
I believe that it is the right of every woman to have a positive, empowering, beautiful and calm birth. I commonly see women come into hospital to have their baby with minimal knowledge of what to expect in labour and are happy to hand over all decisions to care givers.
The education and tools given in the hypnobirthing class, allows you and your birth partners to approach labour and birth in a positive way, with confidence to trust that your body is made to birth your baby and feel empowered that you can do it. With the aim to birth your baby calmly in whichever direction your labour journey takes you.
I myself have 3 beautiful children. Having had a normal birth, an emergency caesarean and a VBAC (Vaginal birth after caesarean), I know too well how important and how much of an amazing, long lasting effect, a positive and calm birth experience has on later life.
It would be such a privilege to teach you in this class. I want to inspire you, educate you and help you get your own positive birth.

Practice Name: Ignite Your Glow
Location of classes: Mackay (QLD)
I was one of those pregnant first time mums hearing all the horror stories and became so fearful of birth I focussed on everything else but the arrival. Put it to the back of my mind and kept saying I would get an epidural. The further I got into into pregnancy I started to come to the realisation that an epidural was just not going to be for me or my baby. I preferred more natural non toxic ways of living, so this really wasn’t a selection of my lifestyle. I took a leap and started researching options, and it was my mother who was living in the UK that had heard about Hypnobirthing. Once I contacted Hypnobirthing Australia I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and after finishing the course with my partner, we both looked forward to our birth with some clear knowledge and a new found excitement.
I have now Hypnobirthed two children; they were completely different labor but both empowering experiences. I found I had a newfound appreciation for my body, but I also understood the power of my mind, which was mind-blowing.
After this I realised and also witnessed mums around me having either some stressful births, or missing out on the relaxation and empowering experience. It has become my mission since to give that support and knowledge to other mums, so that they can have their own unique and beautiful births.

Hi, I’m Rosie.
I have proudly been working as a registered nurse and midwife for over 10 years. During this time, I have worked in a wide variety of women’s health and maternity settings. My role at Geelong Born focuses on independent childbirth education and midwifery support. I strive to empower, inspire and bring confidence to expectant parents.
I am mum to my two beautiful little girls. My own positive birthing experiences have given me further drive to promote pregnancy and childbirth as a natural and profound life event. I believe all births are unique and that women should be supported in a way that is individually tailored to their own needs. I draw upon experience as a mum and a midwife to ‘keep birth normal’ and avoid unnecessary intervention.
I am delighted to be a Certified Hypnobirthing Australia™ Practitioner. I passionately believe this program gives couples the best chance of achieving the birth they dream of. I take a relaxed and friendly approach during my classes and I feel very privileged to be teaching expectant parents how to give birth in such a calm and positive way.

Servicing: Ferntree Gully, Melbourne (VIC)
Hi there! I’ve been working with birthing women for over 15 years. I’ve been a midwife for nearly 13 years and what a wonderful journey that’s been. It’s such a privilege to work with families in my community. I’m a mother of 3 and all of my births have been with midwives and have been wonderful, life changing experiences. The midwives who cared for me provided such helpful, patient encouragement, I’m indebted to them for life. Having said that, my aim for families that I work with is to be able to say “We did this together, as a couple !” and to be able to feel like they are stronger as a couple and more empowered together. I’d like couples to feel like they had all the tools themselves, and that it doesn’t necessarily matter where they birthed or how they birthed but they feel empowered and positive about their birthing experience. Able to go into parenting as a couple who are stronger and ready for whatever parenting has in store for them. This is what Hypnobirthing can do for you !!

I fell in love with the Hypnobirthing Australia™ program when I used it for the birth of my second baby – the first of two positive, empowering VBACs (vaginal birth after caesarean). I found that the knowledge, tools and techniques I gained from the program completely changed the way I looked at birth.
My first birth was an experience that left me feeling completely powerless and like I had no say in my birthing journey. Thanks to hypnobirthing, my next two births were the complete opposite. It was this transformation that has led me here, and my goal is to now help you approach your birth with the same knowledge and confidence, knowing that you are making the best decisions for yourself and your baby.
As a birth and postpartum doula I have seen the difference your birthing experience can make and how it can affect your parenting journey. You (and your baby) deserve an incredible experience – one you will remember for the rest of your life, for all the right reasons.
My Hypnobirthing Australia classes will give you everything you need to have a positive birth experience – regardless of the circumstances of your birth.
If you want to know more about how I can support you to feel confident and empowered to give birth on your own terms, head to my website or come and say hi on Instagram

Hi All. My name is Margaret Sommeling.
I am a mother of four, a grandmother to one, I have an amazing husband who has been a fantastic support to me, and who made sacrifices to stay home to raise our children.
I am a practicing midwife; I have been working in a Midwifery Group Practice model since 2011 providing continuity of care to many women.
I had been intuitively working with visualisation and meditation techniques with labouring women within my own practice, therefore I sought out the Hypnobirthing Australia program to help build on my working foundations in turn using this proven program to educate women and their partners, who are committed to birthing together, who wish to take control and who seek the emancipation to birth without fear. I promote a holistic approach to birth. I support the belief that labour and birth can be positive and strive to ensure you achieve a positive, satisfying and supported birth, whatever the outcome!!

Kate is a warm, compassionate person who is truly dedicated to empowering birth couples and supporting them so they may have the positive birth that they deserve. Kate is passionate about teaching the Hypnobirthing Australia™ course, because she believes this course gives you the knowledge, tools, support and preparation to achieve this goal.
Kate originally used hypnobirthing to birth her daughter in 2011 and knew then, this was a course all birthing couples should experience. However, it wasn’t until 2 years later, when Kate experienced an accidental unassisted breech homebirth that she realised to what extent the Hypnobirthing Australia™ course helps birthing couples. Kate comments on how amazing the birth of her son was and she credits hypnobirthing techniques and tools to how well the birth went and how well she and her husband were able to cope with the pressure of these special circumstances in the lead up to the birth. It was this turn of events that persuaded Kate to become a Hypnobirthing Australia™ Practitioner, so she could educate and support other couples so they too could be informed and understand their rights as birthing parents to have a wonderful birth experience with no regrets. Click here to view Kate’s birth story.
Along with being a Certified Hypnobirthing Australia™ practitioner, Kate is also a Childbirth Educator (HPCE), trained in the basics of Hypnotherapy, professionally voice trained and… of course, a 2 times hypnobirthing mum : )
Kate offers the Hypnobirthing Australia™ course to couples on the Gold Coast in a group setting or private one-on-one setting in the comfort of your own home, if you choose. She also offers support as a skype practitioner for our Hypnobubs® online courses. So if you would like to join Kate’s course please contact her on 0407 999 620 or visit https://positivelyhypnobirthing.com.au

I am a registered nurse working in Paediatrics and Women’s Health. When I kept hearing about ‘Hypnobirthing’ from my friends and family members that had been using it for their births, I had to know more! I did my research and was blown away with how Hypnobirthing was positively influencing birthing experiences all over the world.
I came across the Hypnobirthing Australia™ course and I was absolutely ecstatic! I am so thrilled that I am apart of such a wonderful group of people striving to educate and inspire pregnant women and their partners. My Hypnobirthing and Childbirth Education business ‘Happy Birth Day’ is a project that is very close to my heart and one that I plan to continually expand over the next few years, incorporating different aspects to offer antenatal, birth and postnatal holistic care.

I am the textbook example of how the Hypnobirthing Australia™ course can transform birth. Having experienced a traumatic emergency Caesarean with my first child, my partner and I found the Hypnobirthing Australia toolkit to be life-changing for the birth of our second child. In fact, I was so inspired by my healing, hypno-birth I became a trained hypnotist and certified Hypnobirthing Australia practitioner.
It is my mission to share this incredible program with my community and beyond. How we birth matters. The birth of a child is also the birth of parents, and this momentous event should be one of peace and joy. The education, tips, tools and techniques taught in this program allow families to remove uncertainty, fear and worry and install confidence, joy and excitement. These skills are applicable for pregnancy, birth and beyond- investing in this course is making an investment in life-long tools.
I am proof the Hypnobirthing Australia program works and I would love to share this amazing, practical course with you and your birth partner.

I teach the Hypnobirthing Australia™ Course in small groups from my peaceful lounge room, overlooking the gumtrees and abundance of wildlife. Or in the comfort of your own loungeroom.

I have witnessed just how transformative and powerful the Hypnobirthing Australia™ Course is with my own eyes. I want to continue to share this wisdom, so women and their birth-partners have effective tools and knowledge to feel prepared and excited to surrender to the magic of childbirth and parenthood.

Hypnobirthing I believe has the power to transform Maiden into Mother in the most empowering way.
Harnessing ancient wisdom with modern science is something that has always gripped me and I feel compelled to spread and share true wisdom when I hear it. Through my yoga teachings I have done just this, a couple of years after returning from India from my initial yoga training, I ventured to Byron Bay during my first pregnancy to become a fully certified Pre/ Postnatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT).
I found working with women at this beautiful stage in their lives was a desire unearthed within me and I was compelled to grow and share more after my first beautiful birth.
Now having just completed my Hypnobirthing certification with my second pregnancy I cannot wait to teach and share this amazing course from a place of true authenticity.
I run courses in my isolated community Weipa, Cape York and host courses where I grew up on the Atherton Tablelands FNQ.
I believe spreading this fantastic knowledge, to create the calmest energy during this sacred time of transition for all, has the power to transform future generations.

I believe in birth and I believe in women, in their power, strength and abilities. I have the privilege to witness this every day.

As a Hypnobirthing Australia™ Practitioner I want to assist women and their birth partners to achieve the positive birth they desire, whatever that may be.
Practice Name: Sarah Searle
Location of Service: Warrnambool and the South West area (VIC)
Sarah is a registered midwife and nurse who has a passion for pregnancy, birth and beyond. She has been working as a midwife for 8 years now and through various hospitals realised there was a vast lack of additional education to help prepare women and their partners for birth. She started researching some alternates to help guide women and discovered Hypnobirthing Australia. She then witnessed a couple practising Hypnobirthing and was in awe and knew she had to take this further.
She and her husband decided to do a Hypnobirthing Australia course with their first pregnancy and were amazed at the positive and calm effects it had on their birth. Sarah went on to have 2 hypnobirthing bubs, one very calm and serene natural birth and the 2nd a very precipitate natural birth outside the hospital front doors. It was then she decided she needed to become a practitioner and share this amazing education with the world.
Sarah is available to Warrnambool and the South West area of Victoria. She can be contacted on 0439 345 919 or at sarahsearlehbce@gmail.com

Natalie came across Hypnobirthing Australia by chance after a work colleague told her she, ‘loved giving birth and couldn’t wait to do it again!’. It was the first time Natalie had ever heard birth described so positively and immediately signed up for the course.

Jackie has been working in the health and wellness industry since 1993 in her roles as a medical scientist, fitness instructor and Yoga teacher. For years she has creatively integrated Yoga’s ancient mind and body wisdom to help women lead a healthy, active and peaceful pregnancy in her antenatal yoga classes. She has literally shared in hundreds of birth stories, including her own to twin daughters.
However, she has also witnessed so much fear, ignorance and confusion surrounding childbirth and the decision-making and organisation of maternity care. Jackie was eager to add hypnobirthing to her qualifications so she can give mothers the essential tools, support and confidence they need to follow their instincts and make conscious choices throughout pregnancy and birth.
Due to her diverse background, Jackie’s classes stem from the unique perspective of integrating age-old holistic birthing knowledge with the advancing science of childbirth. Mothers gain deep understanding of birth physiology plus respect for the hidden powers of their bodies. Her classes provide mothers and partners with an antenatal education program that supports and empowers women to have a positive and sacred birth experience.
Jackie runs hypnobirthing classes in a lovingly-built studio behind her home in Brighton, South Australia.

I have been a Registered Midwife since 2012, currently working in Canberra. I absolutely love being a midwife, there truly is nothing more incredible than seeing a baby coming into the world. It truly is a privilege beyond words.
I have seen how fearful some women can be preparing for birth. This fear makes me really sad for women as I know how incredibly beautiful and empowering birth can be. This is why I became a Hypnobirthing Australia Certified Practitioner. The Positive Birth Program helps women understand that she can have an empowering birthing experience (regardless of the birth outcome).
Pregnancy and childbirth should be a wonderfully memorable experience. I am passionate about educating women and birthing partners to embrace birth and to truly believe in her body’s ability to give birth naturally, calmly and gently.
At Hypnobirthing Canberra, we offer women and their partners the opportunity to embrace birth as a natural life experience, not something to be feared. Taking a relaxed and friendly approach to equip you and your birth partner with information about breathing and massage techniques, normal birth physiology and deep relaxation, to allow parents and their babies to look forward to a safe, positive and gentle birth experience.

Hello all, so lovely to be here!
Since the birth of my first baby in 2011, I have been supporting couples as a Doula, Childbirth Educator and Placenta Encapsulator, after making the move from my corporate background in IT & Telco to follow my passion and longing to make a difference in the lives of birthing women and their partners, one birth at a time.
I service mainly the Sutherland Shire, the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West and North Shore areas of Sydney.
I am the mother of two, one angel baby by the name of Juniper and a rainbow baby by the name of Mie. It was through my first pregnancy and birth experience that I decided to train as a Doula and since that time back in 2011 I have been so passionate about the rite of passage that birth can be for a woman and her partner and have to date supported over 90 couples as a Doula and over 3000 as a Placenta Encapsulator.
Having supported a number of Doula couples that had completed the Hypnobirthing Australia training in their pregnancies, I have found their labours to have been the most beautiful, calm and empowering which have inspired me to become an instructor myself.
With the right knowledge, tools, support and preparation gained through the amazing Positive Birth Program, I know you too can have the birth of your dreams, no matter how it unfolds.
I look forward to meeting you and being your guide in one of the most life-changing and magical moments of your lives!

I believe that mothers, babies and families, all deserve better.
I’m Edriana and I want to help ensure the beginning of your baby’s life and your transition into parenthood is positive and supported.
I commenced my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) straight out of high school, knowing that I wanted to help people. After watching a close friend go through a traumatic birth experience, I knew I didn’t want that to happen again to her or anyone else.
I completed the Hypnobirthing Australia course as an expectant mother in 2017 and will always look back on the birth of my son as one of the best days of my life. Although I had special circumstances, Lincoln’s birth empowered and astonished me, it lifted me up in a time when I needed to be lifted to make that transition into parenthood.
Motherhood changes you. What I now know is that I want to do more, I want to help mothers, babies and families have better experiences in pregnancy, birth and through the transition into parenthood.
I’ve become a certified Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner because I want to help you on this sacred journey. Please feel free to contact me to find out more.

Megan is a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Medicare – Endorsed Midwife with over 20 years experience providing comprehensive, holistic and evidence-based care to families. During this time Megan has gained extensive experience in providing pregnancy, postnatal, newborn and breastfeeding support to guide many women and families to succeed in early parenting. This experience has been attained in a variety of settings throughout Adelaide, including country, private and large metropolitan hospitals as well as in continuity midwifery models.
Megan is a Childbirth Educator and holds a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health as well as skills in acupressure, gentle myofascial release and is a certified HypnoMothering Practitioner.
After the birth of her child, Megan realised the fragmented care within the constraints of hospitals/obstetric care meant that often women and families were not set up to succeed in birth or beyond. Women were scared and coerced into decisions that they were poorly educated to make. The huge void in postnatal support meant women were poorly equipped for success. She realised that women needed to feel nurtured, listen to and supported to develop the skills necessary to grow and thrive in pregnancy and in their new parenting role.
Megan began her successful private practice- Adelaide Lactation Consultants & Midwifery to change the way care is offered by supporting and enriching families on their journey. A flexible approach to midwifery care means women can find a care option to suit them! Megan believes that Hypnobirthing will be a valuable addition to her care options available.

Hello!
I’m Clare – mum, doula and childbirth educator. As a doula of 16 years, I have had the honour of supporting many women during labour and birth and without doubt, the ones who fare best are those that have a realistic understanding of what to expect, how to work with their bodies and minds and who have belief in their own ability and power.
The process of labour and birth is one of life’s rites of passage – it has the opportunity of teaching us to surrender, dig deep, to trust, to find what we need within us and celebrate the power we are stepping into. When we cross the threshold from maiden to mother we are forever transformed – none of us forget birthing our babies and the process we went through to bring them earthside. We e and they, deserve a memory that is at least positive, if not beautiful!
Birth is sacred – it and the vessel through which it occurs, us mummas, should be revered, honoured, respected and trusted to do the job we know we and our babies are innately wired for. Hypnobirthing Australia’s positive birth program helps us show caregivers what we are made of!

Hi, I’m Amy and I’m all about women having joyful pregnancies, births and beyond!
As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my second child the fear of labour descended on me. I would describe the birth of my first child as traumatic and not an experience I was keen to repeat. I began to search for a more gentle, empowered way to give birth and came across the Hypnobirthing Australia Positive Birth Program. I went on to have a beautiful birth with my second child, and recently added number three to the clan using Hypnobirthing Australia techniques.
I am also a qualified yoga teacher specialising in pregnant and post-natal women. I have extensive knowledge of the physiology of the pregnant body and will work with you to create a healthy body and mindset for your pregnancy, labour and your journey into parenthood.
My goal is to empower women and their support persons to make educated decisions that serve them, their babies and their vision of a positive birth. It’s not about having a textbook perfect birth, it’s about having YOUR version of a positive birth.
I offer small group classes on the Northside of Brisbane, where you can meet and connect with others who are on the same journey as you. I also offer private classes by appointment.

Hi, I’m Melissa!
I’ve been working with pregnant women and new mothers for the past 15 years as a Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga and Pilates Instructor and more recently as a Birth and Postpartum Doula.
I’ve helped thousands of women prepare their bodies for labour and birth and to regain their “pre- baby body” but it wasn’t until I gave birth to my son that I realised how important a positive mindset is during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Whilst I attribute education, tools, support and preparation to my beautiful drug- free water birth, it was my positive mindset that helped me to stay calm and trust the process.
Whilst I had introduced breathing techniques, active birth positions, meditation and deep relaxation in my prenatal yoga classes prior to my son’s birth, I wanted to learn how to teach women to use self- hypnosis and positive mindset to release their fears around birth so becoming a Hypnobirthing Australia® practitioner was the obvious choice for me.
I cannot wait to share this incredible course with women and their birth partners in the Milton Ulladulla area and for them to have positive, empowering and beautiful births.
I strongly believe that when we have an empowering birth experience, this sets us up for empowered and positive parenting.

I absolutely love it when I see those “light bulb” moments happen in class, when fears are released, and women suddenly realise the immense power and confidence that they have always had within! It is this confidence that allows women to make individual decisions regarding her labour and birth that are unique for her and her baby.
Classes with me are always light and fun, and everyone is welcome. I’d love for you to join me!

I am a full spectrum Doula (antenatal, birth and post natal), Hypnobirthing Practitioner and Mum of two beautiful boys. I live in Ballina and service the Ballina / Byron Shire and Northern Rivers areas. I offer face-to-face and online / virtual services and a range of antenatal, childbirth education, and post-natal packages.
I used Hypnobirthing when I had my two children so I know first hand what a huge difference the tools and resources make to helping you have a positive and life changing birth / experience. I am deeply passionate about supporting women and their families through their pregnancy, birthing and post partum journeys and feel excited to be able to share wisdom, experience and resources to empower others to make informed choices around childbirth. I believe every single woman has the right to have the birth SHE wants, and should be given the support SHE needs throughout. And I feel strongly that the more supported a birthing woman feels during her pregnancy and birth, the smoother and more positive her transition into motherhood and the extended parenting journey will be.
I look forward to working with mums, partners, birth teams and bubs all over the area and I believe you will value my excitement, passion and dedication.

Hi my name is Astrid and I fell in love with Hypnobirthing during my research paper as part of my Doctorate degree in Midwifery. Hypnobirthing aligns beautifully with all the current evidence and research which has been the driving force behind my desire to become a Hypnobirthing Practitioner.
I am very passionate about midwifery and supporting women and their families through the journey of pregnancy and birth. I am dedicated to empowering women and their support network with hypnobirthing techniques that are evidenced and researched based. I am committed to supporting women to create a positive birth experience for themselves and their precious newborn babies. I have experienced first-hand the power of the mind and how using hypnotic techniques can enable you to create an experience that is undeniably empowering.
I bring 26 years of combined nursing and midwifery experience to my Hypnobirthing Clients. I continue to work as a midwife in the public health sector on a part time basis. Working as a Hypnobirthing Practitioner has enabled me to offer women and their support network a unique program that empowers women with the tools and evidenced based education to create positive birth outcomes.
