Practice Name: Sue Hunt
Location of Service: Central Coast (NSW)
I am a practising Caseload Midwife at Gosford Hospital. I have attended many hypnobirths through the years and know the difference it can make to a mother’s experience of labour and birth as well as the outcome!
Natural drug-free birth leads on to a happy baby and mum and easier breastfeeding.
I have a particular interest in VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Caesarean) as I experienced this myself. I’m also very supportive of waterbirth and fully support home birthing.
Negotiating the hospital system can be daunting. As a midwife who works in the system, my goal is to incorporate the best medical support available with natural birth practices.
Hypnobirthing Australia classes give me the opportunity to help empower women and their partners and share my expertise.
I am excited to teach Hypnobirthing Australia and assist women and their partners on their birthing journey. I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you!
Practice Name: Harmonic Hypnobirthing
Location of Services: I offer group Hypnobirthing Australia™ classes from Dee Why, Northern Beaches and also Copacabana, Central Coast. I also teach private classes across the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Central Coast.
I am mum to two gorgeous boys who I hypnobirthed into the world with tremendous love, focus and strength, it was their empowering births that inspired me to become a Hypnobirthing Australia™ practitioner.
I am also trained and experienced as a Hypnotherapist, Birth Doula, Natural Therapist, Energetic Healer, Flower Essence specialist, Angelic Reiki Master Teacher and Conscious birth leader and have been assisting couples of the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Central Coast to achieve calm and confident birth experiences since 2012.
My intention as an holistic birthing expert is to inspire women and their birthing companions to achieve both positive and sacred childbirth experiences, I believe that the facilitation of quality and independent childbirth education through the Hypnobirthing Australia™ program supports this intention wholeheartedly.
I know that everything a woman needs to birth her baby with strength, confidence and joy comes from deep within her. Birth is the ultimate instinctive act and even though in modern maternity practices it can sometimes be difficult to trust your instincts and know how to surrender, I am committed to reconnecting mamas to their feminine power, and to develop the trust and confidence in the inherent wisdom of their bodies.
I am a member of the Holistic Birth and Parenting Collective, supporting parents through all aspects of their pregnancy and birth journey and I am also a Positive Birth Movement facilitator, dedicated to expanding the message of positive birth in the community.
I offer group Hypnobirthing Australia™ classes from Dee Why, Northern beaches and also Copacabana, Central Coast. I also teach private classes across the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Central Coast.
I can help you to embrace and feel nourished in your pregnancy and assist you to create the birth experience you truly deserve.
“It was the most amazing and calm experience. The midwives couldn’t understand how I stayed so calm…they didn’t realize how advanced I was in labour…I can’t thankyou enough Katie for your hypnobirthing course and for all the wisdom and support that resulted in such a beautiful, calm birth for us all. ”
Practice Name: Prepared to Birth

Natalie came across Hypnobirthing Australia by chance after a work colleague told her she, ‘loved giving birth and couldn’t wait to do it again!’. It was the first time Natalie had ever heard birth described so positively and immediately signed up for the course.

Immediately after his birth, she felt an undeniable urge to become a Hypnobirth Childbirth Educator so that she could share the incredible tools and techniques she had learned with as many parents as possible.
Natalie is passionate about preparing women and their birth partners with the tools and knowledge that will allow them to feel prepared and excited for their birth no matter what turn it takes. Natalie believes that a calm and positive birth can be transformational beyond just the birthing day – her hope is that these skills continue to be of use for both the mother and birthing partner throughout the parenting journey.

“Being a first-time mum, I attended every birth class my obstetrician provided. Each time we left feeling traumatised, it was all ‘this will happen to you’ and ‘this will happen to you’.
I had always wanted a water birth, but I wanted to know HOW I could do it in a calm, empowered way.
Kathryn came to our home to teach us privately. Each time she left we felt more empowered and ready for birth.
When the day came everything went perfectly … the midwives said I was deep in the self-hypnosis and a birthing goddess! I felt extremely empowered and having this amazing birth has carried me into an amazing intuitive journey of motherhood.
The process was deeply satisfying and bonded us as a new little family. I honestly learnt so much from Kathryn. I’m eternally grateful to her for passing on her knowledge.” (Carmen, 2016)

Location of Service: Zetland (NSW)
Hello all, so lovely to be here!
Since the birth of my first baby in 2011, I have been supporting couples as a Doula, Childbirth Educator and Placenta Encapsulator, after making the move from my corporate background in IT & Telco to follow my passion and longing to make a difference in the lives of birthing women and their partners, one birth at a time.
I service mainly the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and North Shore areas of Sydney but also travel as far south as Sutherland Shire, west as far as Westmead and North as far as the Northern Beaches for my clients on request.
I am the mother of two, one angel baby by the name of Juniper and a rainbow baby by the name of Mie. It was through my first pregnancy and birth experience that I decided to train as a Doula and since that time back in 2011 I have been so passionate about the rite of passage that birth can be for a woman and her partner and have to date supported over 50 couples as a Doula and over 1000 as a Placenta Encapsulator.
Having supported a number of Doula couples that had completed the Hypnobirthing Australia training in their pregnancies, I have found their labours to have been the most beautiful, calm and empowering which have inspired me to become an instructor myself.
With the right knowledge, tools, support and preparation gained through the amazing Positive Birth Program, I know you too can have the birth of your dreams, no matter how it unfolds.
I look forward to meeting you and being your guide in one of the most life-changing and magical moments of your lives!
Practice Name: A Life in Bloom
Location of Service: Petersham (NSW)
I’m Clare – mum, doula and childbirth educator. As a doula of 16 years, I have had the honour of supporting many women during labour and birth and without doubt, the ones who fare best are those that have a realistic understanding of what to expect, how to work with their bodies and minds and who have belief in their own ability and power.
The process of labour and birth is one of life’s rites of passage – it has the opportunity of teaching us to surrender, dig deep, to trust, to find what we need within us and celebrate the power we are stepping into. When we cross the threshold from maiden to mother we are forever transformed – none of us forget birthing our babies and the process we went through to bring them earthside. We e and they, deserve a memory that is at least positive, if not beautiful!
Birth is sacred – it and the vessel through which it occurs, us mummas, should be revered, honoured, respected and trusted to do the job we know we and our babies are innately wired for. Hypnobirthing Australia’s positive birth program helps us show caregivers what we are made of!
Practice Name: Mindful Birthing Sydney

After a lifetime of being fed visions of Hollywood-style birth, and having many friends face traumatic experiences when they had their babies, Kate was apprehensive about birth to say the least. She started asking around, and on recommendation from a friend, completed the Hypnobirthing Australia course before the birth of her daughter in late 2017. It was a beautiful, unmedicated, natural birth (as was her preference) and the most incredible, empowering experience of her life. It had such a profound effect on her that she knew she had to train so that she could, in turn, help other mothers and couples have the positive, empowering birth that they too deserve to have.
With a background in Psychology and Performance, Kate’s interests and skills marry perfectly for delivering this up to date, evidence-based Australian course. She is incredibly excited to be helping parents and birth partners in Sydney achieve a calm, positive, informed birth experience.
