The opportunity to offer Hypnobirthing classes is a coming together of several parts of Michelle’s life. She is a high school teacher, prior to this she studied and worked in rehabilitation healthcare which leads to further study in mental health and well-being. Michelle is captivated by the powerful connection between the mind and the body. Michelle understands that our experiences of pregnancy and birth can affect our relationships, behaviour and well-being. She is a mother of two boys, Michelle has experienced a birth that had a negative influence on her transition into parenthood and she has had a gentle, positive, healing birth. Her offering is to empower mothers to make informed choices on all birthing options and to communicate effectively with their healthcare team to feel in control of their birthing journey.
Please visit The Calm Community website for individual and group class options along with other resources for birth.
