Bio
Hello, my name Shae and I am a registered nurse, midwife and can now proudly say I am a qualified Hypnobirthing/childbirth educator practitioner. I am currenting living in rural Victoria in a small town of Stawell. I recently had my first baby and during my pregnancy not only did I do the course to become a hypnobirthing practitioner I also did the course to help prepare myself and my partner for my birth.
I have been a nurse for 7 years and started my post graduate degree as a midwife in 2020 as I have been privileged to support women through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey and always had a passion for women feeling empowered.
During this time, I have worked in a rural hospital in Ararat in a public hospital providing women antenatal, labour, and postnatal care.
Throughout my midwifery practice I believe being a hypnobirthing practitioner is my exact match and aligns with my midwifery care I provide daily.
I’m a huge believer in a healthy and positive mindset to enable women not to face birth with fear, but to love their birth journey and the beautiful experience it can be!
I want women and support partners to be given the opportunity of understanding how the women’s body works and how the women can work with her body with the appropriate tools and knowledge to help reduce fears and anxiety leading up to birth.
I have a passion for physiological birth, however I am nonjudgmental in my approach, and I love working with families as they are on this journey, to empower them and advocate for their pregnancies, birth, and postpartum journey.
My mission is to support individual women and their support team with up-to-date evidence-based information that has be proven to work through their journey and provide them with the knowledge and tools to give them empowerment and confidence and to make them feel supported as they prepare for their positive birth.
