Hello! I’m Kerri, a registered midwife passionate about women’s health, including nutrition, Indigenous health, holistic health, and perinatal mental health. Living in beautiful Yeppoon with my husband and two teenage daughters, together we enjoy a love for nature and the outdoors.
I’ve always had a fondness for ante-natal education, and my journey as a midwife has been driven by a love for supporting women and their partners to achieve the positive birth they desire. However, with the time constraints of the hospital system, there’s often sparse time for this crucial aspect of care.
For me, to know you possess self-belief and trust your instincts alongside having the knowledge to make informed decisions is king, because your birth is a day you will NEVER forget. You deserve to remember your birth as a positive experience and feel proud of what you’ve accomplished; to be able see yourself as resilient and exceptional, because women are. You need not feel vulnerable in your own birth space, rather, feel safe and confident during any unanticipated twists birth can at times deliver.
It’s an honour to be part of somebody’s pregnancy journey, and it means a lot to be able to make a difference in somebody’s lives by teaching The Positive Birth Program.
