Bio
Hi my name is Astrid and I fell in love with Hypnobirthing during my research paper as part of my Doctorate degree in Midwifery. Hypnobirthing aligns beautifully with all the current evidence and research which has been the driving force behind my desire to become a Hypnobirthing Practitioner.
I am very passionate about midwifery and supporting women and their families through the journey of pregnancy and birth. I am dedicated to empowering women and their support network with hypnobirthing techniques that are evidenced and researched based. I am committed to supporting women to create a positive birth experience for themselves and their precious newborn babies. I have experienced first-hand the power of the mind and how using hypnotic techniques can enable you to create an experience that is undeniably empowering.
I bring 26 years of combined nursing and midwifery experience to my Hypnobirthing Clients. I continue to work as a midwife in the public health sector on a part time basis. Working as a Hypnobirthing Practitioner has enabled me to offer women and their support network a unique program that empowers women with the tools and evidenced based education to create positive birth outcomes.
